Parliamentary seminar

In October 2011 KAC held a seminar in the UK Houses of Parliament to discuss the impact of the recession on drug use and treatment.

It was attended by members of the House of Commons and House of Lords. Presenters included Dr David Wilson, Global HIV/AIDS Programme Director for the World Bank; Rosalie Pacula, Co-director of the RAND Drug Policy Research Centre, USA; Dr Claudia Storti, senior researcher at the EMCDDA, Portugal; and Dr João Goulão, the Portuguese National Drugs Coordinator and Chairman of the Institute on Drugs and Drug Addiction.
